Beard Transplant
Achieve the full, shaped beard you've always wanted. MicroFUE beard transplant at Trabzon Hair Center — permanent, natural, and completely undetectable.
What is Beard Transplant?
Beard transplant is a surgical procedure that permanently restores hair to the face — whether filling sparse patches, creating a full beard from scratch, or restoring hair lost to scarring or skin conditions like alopecia barbae.
At Trabzon Hair Center, we use MicroFUE technology to harvest individual follicular units from the scalp donor area and implant them into the face at precise angles that mimic natural beard hair growth. The result is a beard that looks, feels, and grows exactly like natural facial hair.
Beard transplants are among our most requested procedures, with patients coming from across Turkey, the UK, Europe, and Georgia. The short procedure time and rapid recovery make it particularly suitable for international patients who want to fly in and out quickly.
Who Gets Beard Transplant?
- Men with naturally sparse or patchy beards
- Patients with alopecia barbae (beard alopecia)
- Those with scarring from accidents or surgery
- Men who cannot grow a beard in certain areas
- Patients wanting a specific beard shape or style
- Those wanting a denser, fuller beard
6 Advantages of Beard Transplant
Permanent Natural Beard
Transplanted follicles grow real hair that behaves exactly like natural beard hair — you can shave, trim, and shape it just like any other beard, permanently.
Custom Beard Design
Our surgeon works with you to design a beard shape that complements your facial structure — from a full beard to goatee, mustache, sideburns, or targeted patch filling.
MicroFUE Precision
We use 0.6–0.8mm micro punch extraction, placing single-hair grafts at precise angles to match the natural growth direction of beard hair for a completely undetectable result.
Short 2–4 Hour Procedure
Beard transplants typically require 1,000–2,500 grafts and can be completed in 2–4 hours. This is significantly shorter than full scalp procedures.
Minimal Recovery Time
Small crusts form in the implanted area and shed within 7–10 days. Most patients are comfortable in social settings within one week. Full beard growth is visible at month 6–9.
Resolves Patchy Beard Syndrome
Many men have permanently patchy areas due to genetics, scarring, or alopecia barbae. Beard transplant fills these areas definitively with naturally growing hair.
The Beard Transplant Process
Facial Analysis & Beard Design
Our surgeon analyses your facial bone structure, existing beard distribution, and skin type. Together, you design the exact beard shape, density, and boundary lines. Grafts required are calculated.
Donor Area Selection
Scalp hair from the back of the head is the most common donor source for beard transplants, as it closely resembles beard hair in texture and calibre. The donor area is minimally trimmed.
Needle-Free Anesthesia
Both the donor scalp and the facial recipient area are numbed using our needle-free anesthesia device. The entire face becomes completely numb within minutes, with zero needle contact.
Graft Extraction
Individual follicular units are extracted using 0.6–0.8mm micro punch tools. Single-hair grafts are prioritised for beard implantation, as they produce the most natural beard texture.
Facial Implantation
Micro-channels are created at precise angles matching natural beard growth direction. Grafts are then placed with great care, ensuring they align with surrounding facial hair for a seamless blend.
Recovery & Growth
Crusting in the implanted area fades within 7–10 days. Transplanted hair sheds in 2–4 weeks (normal). New growth begins at month 3, visible beard at month 6, final density at month 9–12.
Frequently Asked Questions
QHow many grafts do I need for a beard transplant?
This depends entirely on your goals and current beard density. A full beard from scratch typically requires 2,000–3,000 grafts. Filling specific patches or thickening may require only 500–1,200 grafts. Our surgeon will give you a precise estimate during consultation.
QWhere are the donor grafts taken from?
The back of the scalp (the occipital zone) is the most common donor source. Scalp hair closely resembles beard hair in thickness and texture. In some cases, chest hair can also be used. There is no visible donor scar with MicroFUE.
QWill the beard look natural?
Yes — this is our primary goal. Each graft is implanted at the exact angle, direction, and depth of natural beard hair. The result is indistinguishable from a natural beard. You can shave, trim, and grow it as normal.
QIs beard transplant painful?
No. We use needle-free anesthesia on both the scalp donor area and the facial recipient area. There is no pain during the procedure. Mild tenderness and itching in the first few days are easily managed with standard aftercare.
QWhen will I see the final beard?
Transplanted hair sheds at 2–4 weeks post-op — this is normal (the root stays). New growth begins from month 3, a visible beard forms by month 6, and final density is achieved by month 9–12.
QCan I shave my beard after transplant?
Yes — but you should wait at least 4 weeks before shaving the transplanted area. After that, you can treat your beard exactly like natural beard hair — shave daily, use clippers, apply beard products, or grow it as long as you like.
